ASBIS Gets Microsoft GCP Status

ASBIS Romania has become authorized distributor of Microsoft FPP (Full Packaged Product) and received the status of Microsoft Gold Certified Partner

Bucharest (Romania), April 28, 2010 – ASBIS Romania, a subsidiary of the ASBISc Enterprises PLC group (WSE: ASB), an expert in IT products distribution to the EMEA emerging markets, has become authorized distributor of Microsoft FPP (Full Packaged Product) and received the status of Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, as an acknowledgment of sustained efforts and the quality of the services provided to the distribution channel for selling Microsoft software products as well as the highest levels of commitment and collaboration with the partners.

Being nominated as the top distributor of Microsoft OEM products for the last 3 years in row, ASBIS extends its portfolio with the signing the contract for distribution of the Microsoft FPP products. ASBIS Romania will be able to offer its partners software packages to be sold to independent users (unlike the OEM packages, which can be sold to end-users only with new computers). This deal with Microsoft also covers the hardware FPP products.

"ASBIS Romania reveals, once again, the quality of the services provided to its partners, Microsoft Gold Partner certification being the best proof of our commitment, professionalism and competencies. This status allows us further improving our services, a vital support for our partners and creates premises for new business opportunities", said Monica Aluas, Country Manager at Asbis Romania.

“Through this ASBIS Romania confirms positioning of Microsoft as a strategic vendor, proven by all the services offered to its partners. I hope that the enhancement of the Microsoft products portfolio will contribute to reaching the objectives and consolidating of the leading position", said Bogdan Nitulescu, Microsoft Romania Distribution Partner Account Manager.

With this certification, ASBIS Romania benefits of several facilities available only to the Microsoft partners at this level, such as business planning tools, marketing instruments, news and newsletters, promotions and updates. All these will help ASBIS Romania providing to its customers a more competitive support, constantly improved and adapted to the market specifics.

ASBISc Enterprises PLC (WSE: ASB) is based in Cyprus and specializes in the distribution of IT products from worldwide leading manufacturers such as Seagate, Western Digital, Samsung, Microsoft, Toshiba, Dell, Acer and Hitachi Asbis has own subsidiaries in 26 countries, more than 1,000 employees and 32,000 active customers in over 70 countries worldwide.
