ASBIS reinforces its server solutions standing with new GIGABYTE contract

GIGABYTE’s cutting-edge servers, storage systems and motherboards are available to ASBIS partners in all countries

August 18, 2016, Limassol (Cyprus) – ASBISc Enterprises PLC (WSE: ASB), an expert in the distribution of Information and Communications Technology products and solutions in EMEA emerging markets, signed a contract with GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd. (TWSE: 2376), an international manufacturer of computer hardware products, for the official distribution of complete GIGABYTE’s server assortment across the territory of ASBIS presence.

“We are pleased to become a credible partner for GIGABYTE in order to supply our channel partners all over the markets of ASBIS presence with the future-proof GIGABYTE’s server product variety. The ASBIS Group’s customers receive big edge in winning projects, which involve GIGABYTE’s server products and,  in case of direct contracts, opportunity to reduce server infrastructure costs due to the vendor’s reasonable price policy,” said Maxim Moshkovskyi, Sales & Business Development Manager at ASBIS Enterprises PLC.

“At GIGABYTE we take pride in the fact that for over 30 years we’ve built solutions for our customers, from mini-PCs to TOP-500 supercomputers. That know-how gets put into our cutting-edge servers, storage systems and motherboards that are available through ASBIS and provide new technologies, local and remote management, and class leading-performance. With in-house engineering and manufacturing, GIGABYTE offers the flexibility and reliability required by any of our loyal customers that helped us to become a leading supplier of server platforms,” said Etay Lee, General Manager Network & Communications business unit, GIGABYTE Technology.

According to the contract terms, ASBIS distributes the full range of GIGABYTE server and embedded products including: standard 1U, 2U and 4U rack servers, GPU-specialized servers, ARM-based server systems, full-rack solutions based on OCP architecture, high density servers, GPU / GPGPU systems, server boards, accessories (such as LAN cards, storage cards), and embedded systems (PC-Client).

GIGABYTE Server Motherboards

Customers looking to go big on their own solutions are able to check out GIGABYTE’s newest server motherboards, such as the MX11-PC0 half-height Mini-ITX server with NVMe support, and the MX31-BS0 MicroATX variant - both for the Intel® Xeon E3 CPUs. For amazing performance/per watt look no further than the MB10-DS3 with on-board Intel® Xeon D-1541 Octa-core and 2x 10Gbe SFP+ ports - putting compute power on the edge of your network.

H270 – Intel and ARM high density nodes

GIGABYTE’s H270 solutions offer the dual-option of high density Intel® Xeon and Cavium ThunderX® ARMv8 blades. Where the power and quality of the Intel® Xeon are already familiar to the market, the Cavium ThunderX offers workload optimized CPUs, for instance for Data Analysis, by delivering new levels of performance per U. To demonstrate both platforms' capabilities, we are making a live-demo accessible at the event.
