Prestigio introduces a new way of eReading

Prestigios launches an advanced eReader application for Android devices

Prestigio is proud to introduce the new advanced eReader application for Android devices, eReader Prestigio!

The new eReader Prestigio application has been developed to offer most comfort with plenty of options to personalize the ereading experience to the individual user. Combining the best features from existing applications to market, the eReader Prestigio strives to be best in class in terms of usability and design. The app supports 23 languages in the menu.

A very intuitive visual navigation concept grants most comfort and ease of use. After choosing a title from the bookshelf, you can turn pages forth and back by sliding or tapping with your finger. All navigation and menu options are directly accessible with a single tap at any time. Besides adding bookmarks you can share passages easily via email, text or MMs. Again, all with your finger tip. Moreover you can manage your favorite book list on the bookshelf.

Depending on the design preference, eye vision, light situation and reading behavior, the Prestigio ereader user will benefit from plenty of different settings:

  • Landscape/Portrait mode
  • Various Backgrounds: Leather, Wood, Sepia
  • Day|Night mode
  • Screen brightness slider
  • Numerous sorting filters
  • More than 40 zoom levels
  • Book reading progress bar
  • Change text size, font & color

“From the users of Prestigio MultiPad Tablet PCs and Prestigio Nobile eBook Readers in more than 50 countries we have learned, that individual preferences are just as heterogenic as the world of literature. We have received many requests to create a Prestigio app solution, which offers more usability and a better design than current solutions available to Android market.”, says Yuri Antoshkin, COO of Prestigio. “And this is exactly what we did.”

One major highlight of the eReader Prestigio App is the direct access to the Online Bookstore More than 220,000 free and paid ebook titles in 20 languages are available 24/7. The offering is growing continuously.

Further improvements to the first release are already in progress, such as Adobe DRM support and sharing options to social networks such as Facebook and others.

The eReader Prestigio App is available for download as of 29th of February 2012 for free on Prestiqio website or Android Google Market.

First time users of eReader Prestigio will also have the opportunity to participate in the Lucky Number Prestigio Giveaway and win one of 10 best-selling MultiPads by Prestigio, PMP5080B.
